Experience life as it was in 1898 living along a rail line. Our unique little home is situated in a popular small town just outside Indianapolis/Fishers....only about 8 miles to Ruoff Music Center. You have to like trains as our home is beside some heavily traveled rail lines. This is a absolute "must stay" location for rail fans. View all of the rolling stock as it passes by your window or relax in the private rear yard at the fire-pit and enjoy the view. Fortville is filled with destination eateries and shops, all just steps away.
The 1898 Rail Road House is only a block away from Main St in Fortville where you’ll find cute shops and wonderful restaurants. Great walkable neighborhood. Only about 8 miles to Ruoff Music Center. Large driveway with room 4-6 cars. See Insta profile for virtual tour - @Fortvillerrhouse.
Please note: Our house, built in 1898 has a very steep staircase to bedrooms 2 and 3. If you aren’t able to hold onto handrail going up and down the stairs, this house may not be for you.. 2nd floor is not recommended for toddlers.
