Nestled in the heart of Arlington, VA (extremely safe and ranked as one of the best cities for biking) -- just a quick car ride, moderate bike ride, or long walk into DC (Georgetown waterfront!) -- with spacious lawn and patio areas for lounging, grilling, sports, etc this brand new cottage with high ceilings and lofted bedroom is the oasis within the city and home away from home you've been dreaming about!
The space
COVID and General Cleanliness:
(1) The entire house is professionally cleaned and sanitized between guests;
(2) We designed this space to maximize cleanliness for each guest - tile floors, machine-washable rugs, removable and machine-washable couch pillow covers, duvet bedding, couch cushions with removable and machine-washable covers, etc and we hired the best cleaning crew around. All bedding is professionally washed off-site between guests, and periodically replaced to keep things fresh and new! *If something is not clean during your stay, please let us know immediately.
Setting: This is a detached guest house, so completely separate from main house on property (outdoor spaces are shared).
Access: Self check-in (passcode provided in advance of arrival)

We've got you covered with 1 king sized Leesa memory foam mattress with fresh linens, closet with hangers for your fancy ensemble, sofa chair with pull-out sleeper for 1, and desk for those here for business or those struggling with work/life balance, c'mon live a little!

- Ready to decompress after a day of sight-seeing, wine tasting, or arguing in front of the supreme court? Say no more - put your feet up and relax on our sofa, pull out its queen bed to take a snooze, or watch your favorite shows on the 55" TV with smart streaming capabilities.
- Maximum light, like, anymore light and you are in a fishbowl. So, enjoy the room's openness and easy access with ginormous sliding doors to the shared patio space, and when ready for privacy, pull down the shades and relax alone, or with your partner or roomies.
- Long trip, have kids, or want clean clothes before you head home? Full-size washer and dryer in unit, and complementary cleaning supplies!
-Ruggable rug, which means it is fresh and clean from periodic bathing in the washing machine
Kitchen:
- If culinarily inclined, have at it with our 2-burner stove, and GE Advantium combo oven and microwave, and skip the dishes by shoving them into the dish washer. Or, enjoy take-out at our sensational nearby restaurants in Lyon Park, Clarendon and surrounding areas (or head into DC for anything from food trucks to Michelin star sit-downs). Need a snack, beer or wine, or last-minute ingredient? Walk across the street to Streets Market, the market with absolutely everything (including Mochi ice cream, or Halo Top and Rebel for those low-carb folks!)
Bathroom:
Ummm, toilet, vanity with sink, and shower with tub. What else do you want to know? Oh, have kids? Stick them in the tub with some bath toys (provided upon request), and sip on some wine on the patio or at the kitchen island, or on the toilet (no judgement here).
Parking:
Street parking is available and free. Guest passes provided in Bagelot when you arrive. We never have difficulty finding a spot outside our house or an immediate neighbor.

Security camera - note that we do have a Ring security camera (and motion-sensing spotlight to assist guests arriving at night) on our main house that is pointed towards the fence and walkway leading up to Bagelot.
