Rustic house on a beautiful small lake with mountain views. Downstairs bedroom includes a queen bed. Large upstairs loft includes one queen bed and can fit many kids sleeping on the carpet. Full kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes, and Keureg coffee maker. Living area has a love seat and recliner to look out at the lake or relax and watch TV or our DVDs. Bathroom includes a stand-up shower. Calm, private lake located off the back deck. Welcome to beautiful, wild Alaska!
The lake is perfect for kayaking in the summer. The lake has lots of vegetation and is fairly muddy and marshy, therefore it is not the best for swimming. Kayaks are available to rent on site, please message me for details. Please respect the lake, wildlife, local flora, and property. The lake house often has many different wildlife visitors including moose, eagles, lynx, red foxes, coyotes, loons, swans, and ducks. As this is Alaska, there are commonly flies and mosquitos outside as we are located on a lake and there are many lakes around. Please only spray personal bug repellent outside the house.
There is only one neighbor visible from the front yard. They are kind and rarely seen. They do have a couple chickens and geese. From the back deck you can hardly see their property. They are typical Alaskans and like to hold on to vehicles and other items.
The lake house is 15 minutes from downtown Wasilla and 1 hour from Anchorage.
At this time there is no internet or wifi set up at the lake house. The cabin is not a part of city living and is outside city limits. The water comes from a well. Please be considerate of water usage. Nothing should be flushed down the toilet except the toilet paper provided. Currently, the fire pit and grill are not available for use. Dirty dishes must be hand washed before check out.
